Welcome
My name is Rachel Hartley. Since being young, I have always had a huge passion for cats. My career path was always to be a Graphic Designer but that changed when I bought my first few Bengal cats and I realised how much I adored them and wanted to breed them.

After much research and careful selection and with the help of other breeders, my breeding program began. Then a few years later I was introduced to the beautiful Savannah cat and I knew instantly I wanted to breed them also.

Dodger: F6 C Brown spotted Savannah stud

I now breed both Bengals and Savannahs with my husband from our home in West Yorkshire and our registered prefix is SITTINGPRETTY.

We are only a small 'hobby' business with just a handful of active and future queens and studs. In the past we have used carefully selected outside studs but we now use our own studs where possible.

We currently specialise in later generation SBT Savannahs and only breed Savannah to Savannah (no outcrosses) in order to produce purebred kittens.

Breeding is not an exact science but through carefully planned matings, we do our upmost to produce healthy, happy and fabulous litters and I think our customer testimonials reflect this!

Whilst we do welcome and encourage visits, we ask that they are made by appointment only. This is both because we share the same living space as our cats and because we have encountered many timewasters who don't even turn up!

However we will soon be able to better facilitate visitors as hopefully during 2011, we are moving locally to a much larger property. We then aim to expand our breeding program and introduce more of our home bred Savannahs.

Whether you are looking to buy a Savannah or simply want to learn more about this majestic breed, we hope you enjoy browsing the web site.

If you have any questions or would like further advice, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are a FIV/Felv negative cattery and all of our Bengals and Savannahs are of excellent health and pedigree.
